Corn and Thanksgiving; a little history; a little science, a little art, and a little sensory. We read The Popcorn Book by Tomie de Paola, and talked about how corn (maize) was shared. We looked at the corn growth cycle and made corn art. When we are done with our corn sensory area we will use the kernels and popped corn for an open art activity.
